More than 2,000 handmade poppies will fill the Great Hall in this special Remembrance display, created with the help of volunteers and the local community.

The project began with the Castle’s volunteer wellbeing crochet group, Hooks and Heritage, whose idea to crochet poppies for Remembrance Day grew into a much larger community project.

Contributions from Castle volunteers, community groups and individuals have come together to create the display, offering visitors a space to pause, reflect and remember.

Free admission is available for members of the Armed Forces, veterans and those who made poppies for the display.
