River of Hope Flags on display

About

River of Hope Finale – Christchurch, Dorset

Experience over 60 inspirational flags created by young people in response to the climate crisis at Christchurch Quay, as part of the River of Hope project—a national art initiative connecting youth with local rivers and climate action.

In Dorset, artist Heidi Steller and poet Matt West worked with pupils from six schools including Twynham and The Grange in Christchurch. Their flags will be displayed alongside works from across the UK and Ethiopia, accompanied by a soundtrack from Dorset rapper Isaiah Dreads.

Supported by: Christchurch BID, The Britford Bridge Trust, Culture in Common (Arts Council England), Arts University Bournemouth, Thames Festival Trust, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Dorset Council, and BCP Council.
