Angie A will be joining us at Summer Sounds on the Proms on 10 June, bringing her uplifting vocals, community spirit and feel‑good energy to the bandstand. It’s the perfect chance to experience her soulful sound and inspiring presence. Angie A is a dynamic and engaging vocalist and performer who has appeared several times on Top of the Pops, was a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent, and has provided backing vocals for Yazz, Shakatak and Olive.

Alongside singing and recording, Angie is a community leader and wellbeing advocate whose work blends music, empowerment and connection. She is the founder of Angie’s Keep Calm and Sing (AKCAS), a community singing group dedicated to promoting better breathing, confidence and wellbeing through the power of voice. Expect feel‑good vibes, gorgeous vocals and a performer who knows exactly how to bring people together through music.

Summer Sounds on the Bandstand is a free live music event, brought to the community by Christchurch Town Council. Bring your picnics and drinks, kids, dogs on a lead and blankets/chairs – we’ll see you down there!
