Getting Summer Sounds off to a Swing-ing start, Swing Unlimited’s Community Big Band will bring their brilliant energy to the Bandstand on 3 June. Expect big, bold, feel‑good live music and a fantastic atmosphere down by the water: the perfect way to spend a summer evening in Christchurch! Expect a full, warm big band sound and music that gets toes tapping from a community band that loves performing.

Swing Unlimited’s Community Big Band (SU2) is a vibrant, welcoming big band that brings together musicians of all ages and abilities from across the region. As the community arm of the Swing Unlimited Big Band Group, SU2 provides a supportive space for players to grow their skills, gain confidence, and experience the joy of performing big‑band music.

Summer Sounds on the Bandstand is a free live music event, brought to the community by Christchurch Town Council. Bring your dancing shoes, your kids, your dog (on a lead), your picnic and a chair. We’ll see you there!
