About
Discover Christchurch from a new perspective in this exhibition exploring the town’s history through photography.
Created by a team of Red House Museum volunteers following more than a year of research, the exhibition draws on the museum’s photographic archives to explore the people, places and stories that have shaped Christchurch.
At its centre is the aerial photography of Allen White, a local historian, RAF photographer and former Christchurch Times journalist, whose images provide a fascinating record of the town and how it has changed over time.
Visitors are also invited to share their own memories and connections to Christchurch, helping to inform and inspire future exhibitions.
